NiTiO<sub>3</sub>/MnFe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> ferrite composites: synthesis, optical, ferroelectric and magnetic properties

Abstract This work reported the successful synthesis of ilmenite-spinel (1 − x )NiTiO 3 - MnFe 2 O 4 ( = 0, 0.05 and 0.10) composites by a simple sol-gel method. Phase formation was analyzed X-ray diffraction All synthesized samples formed diphasic ilmenite-ferrite without any trace impurity or intermediate phase. The optical properties were characterized diffuse reflectance UV–visible spectroscopy. phase modified band gap NiTiO material shifted its bandgap value toward lower energy. Ferroelectric magnetic hysteresis loops investigated at room temperature. indicated typical ferromagnetic ferroelectric nature all In P-E loops, remanent polarization P r ) saturation s showed slight increase in sample with 5% addition.
